The poorly named Inflation Reduction Act passed in 2022. It’s the bill that directs $738 billion be spent on energy and climate change, including up to $14,000 in rebates per household for driving down consumer energy costs, increasing energy security, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Every state has been responsible for creating a plan to distribute the funding that’s specific to them, getting that plan approved by the Feds and then creating and launching the programs in the plan to get contractors and consumers rewiring America.

Phase 1 of the Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEEHRA) for energy efficient appliances and equipment are available to income-eligible California multifamily property owners/operators. Eligible Californians must work with a HEEHRA-trained contractor enrolled in TECH Clean California to receive the rebates.
