The application for the HEEHRA Phase I Program for multifamily property is now available on TECH Clean California’s HEEHRA Program page

The program for individual homeowners will be available in a few weeks, so now is the time for low-to-moderate income homeowners to get ready with their electrification plan to take advantage of the free money.

And keep in mind, these up front rebates are in addition to the federal tax credits that also come with many of the electrification moves – as it shows in this Elephant Energy infographic:

What do the rebates pay for?

$8,000 for a heat pump heat and air-conditioning system

$1,750 for a heat pump water heater

$840 for an electric stove/induction cooktop

$840 for heat pump clothes dryer

$4,000 for an electric load main panel upgrade

$2500 to run new 240V electric lines.

There’s also a $1,600 rebate for insulation, air sealing and ventilation work done to cut your need for heating and cooling and to improve your indoor air quality.

There are limits on the amount home-owning families can receive. To qualify for the rebates your family’s total annual income must be less than 150% of the average median income (AMI) where you live. Here’s where you can find out your AMI: https://ami-lookup-tool.fanniemae.com/amilookuptool

In addition to the California Energy Commission’s site and TECH Clean California’s websites, the best source for information on your home’s electrification is RewiringAmerica.org

That’s where you can make your own personal electrification plan and put together your roadmap to a 100% renewable energy powered home.

Rewiring America has been such a great source of information for me that I completed their Electric Coach training and became certified in May of this year.

Let me know how I can help YOU.
